                 In the meeting held on August 1st, 2009, the Board of Directors of the Pan Albanian Federation of America VATRA,  decided to appoint Mr. DAlip Greca as the Editor of the Newspaper Dielli.

 

                 Mr. Greca was born in Lushnja, Albania. He graduated the Pedagogic Institute of Shkodra and the University of Tirana majoring in Albanian Literature and Language.

                 He has worked as a teacher as well as a reporter for the local press in the late 80s.  After the democratic movement of the 90s, the Republican Party of Albania appointed him as Secretary of the Pluralist Executive Committee  for Lushnja. He ran as a candidate for parliament for the Republican Party in 1991, 1992 and 1996.

In 1997 he was a representative for 3 political parties running as one the Republican Party, the “Legaliteti” and the “Balli” . From 1992 to 1996 he was the chairman of the local Republican Party in Lushnja and from 1992 to 1999 he was chairman of the national Republican Party.

                 In 1992 he was Editor of the newspaper “Ora e Fjales” in Lushnja. From 1996 to 1999 he was also the Editor of the daily newspaper “Republika”.

                 In 1999 Mr. Greca immigrated to New York and was the editor of the Albanian section of the newspaper “Illyria” .

                 Mr. Dalip Greca is recipient of several awards such as “Acknowledged  personality for the Albanian culture” from the association “Ismail QEmali” and others awarded by Albanian institutions and those of the Albanian Diaspora.
